Arts & Crafts Fair at 10A Alabama

I’m a sucker for flea markets, arts&crafts bazaars, and basically any place where I can source vintage finds, handmade crafts, and bargain butingtings. Luckily, I live near 10A Alabama (you can find Alabama Street along E. Rodriguez Avenue, close to where it intersects with Tomas Morato), where arts&crafts fairs are held every quarter or so. Most of the artists are on hand to sell their work, so it’s fun to chat and get to know the stories behind their pieces. Plus, they’re all so nice and friendly (but never pushy) so there’s always a good, laidback vibe going on! There happens to be a fair ongoing this weekend, so of course we dropped by to see what was new, as well as revisit old favorites. The fair runs until today, so if you’re stopping by for the first time, here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:

Look for this gate!

Part of the fair's charm is that it’s held in a quaint old house, and much of the reclaimed wood furniture that make up the makeshift booths are provided by the host, Resurrection Furniture and Found Objects Gallery (so yes, they’re for sale). We're lusting after this vintage card catalog cabinet!

Look at those adorable note card sets! There's even one inspired by the takas (papier mache horses) of another 10A Alabama regular, Takatak Project! But my favorite is the Rainy Day set
